Education:
Creighton University School of Law, class of 1995 (GO JAYS)
University of Nebraska - Omaha (GO MAVERICKS)
University of Nebraska - Lincoln (GO HUSKERS)
As you can see, I am a big fan of college sports. I love to go to Husker games, because I get to see my old teammates at the games. The stadium and speed of the game has changed so much over the years. The players are so much bigger and faster and the stadium itself is entertaining.
Then why Bluejay Law you ask? Because I went to Creighton law School and started to go to Jays games. Back then the team was not very good, but soon after Dana Altman came to town and put the Jays back on track. There is something special about Bluejay basketball.
Professionally, I have been in practice since 1996. I opened my own office shortly after graduation. Primarily, my practice was mostly civil law, from landlord and tenat disputes to six figure personal injury claims. In the year 2000, I joined the Omaha City Prosecutor's office. There is where I honed my trial skills in front of both Judges and Juries. In 2004, I decided to go back to private practice. Now, I focus my practice to what I do best; criminal law and personal injury. The one thing that these two types of clients have in common is that they are scared because they do not know what is going to happen to them, and do not know if they be able to prove their case. That is the challenge to me. Unlike some other attorneys, I like to keep my client's informed, give them all their options, and make recommedations. I always advise my clients that ultimately it is their choice on how to proceed, and how we can acomplish what is best for the client.
Personally, I like to coach youth sports, fish, hunt, and camp. I am active in my church as a member of the parish Council.
